When it comes to brewing a fresh cup of coffee every time you need a little bit of caffeine, you could always do it the old way and throw a filter in the machine, add some coffee and wait for an entire pot to brew. Hopefully the whole thing will be drunk before it gets stale or burns.

However, this is never the case and all too often you have to throw away perfectly good coffee; that is just a waste of money. This is why so many people are turning to single cup coffee brewing machines today. They can brew their favorite blend; one serving at a time and without any waste or mess.

These one cup coffee makers have been around for some time now, but unfortunately never really became popular because there was very little choice when it came to coffee blends. They need to use a special single cup coffee filter which is known as a coffee pod. These are fully sealed single cup coffee filters which are mess free and easy to handle.

A typical single cup coffee brewer utilizes special pouches, coffee pods,  and without the pods you would end up with a big mess. The good news though is that there are many popular blends that are now available and ready to go in pod form. However, there are still many others which are not and for them you will have to make your own single cup coffee filters. You can actually make them using standard filters if you have the time. But sometimes it is easier to pick up pre-made and ready to go filters which all you need to do is to add the coffee grounds to. Anyway you look at it though; you are bound to enjoy every cup because when you make use of single cup coffee makers, every sip will be as fresh as it possibly can be.
