When shopping for patio lights for your backyard patio, keep in mind that illumination should be minimal but effective.  Only light places where you and your family are likely to spend time and keep the amount of fixtures you purchase down to the minimum unless you do choose solar lights.  With solar fixtures, you can purchase and install as many as you like because you won’t be wasting electricity or adding to your energy bill.  Solar lights are the greenest type of lighting available so you are also helping the planet in your choice of lighting.  You can find all kinds of light fixtures on the internet or at your local home improvement store.  Stick to solar or low voltage lighting in outdoor spaces.  It is not necessary to put high beam lighting outside of your home.  Small amounts of light, positioned properly in critical places, are all you really need.  You can easily accomplish this by purchasing the right type of fixtures and positioning them in places where you can get the most out of each fixture.
